Day6’s Young K releases his second solo album, Youngest, and announces an Asian tour. Read the details on MediaXtrand! The release comes two years and 10 months after his previous album. Young K wrote all 15 tracks within a brief four to five month period. He began writing after completing DAY6’s 10th-anniversary tour in September 2025.

https://mediaxtrand.site/ reports that the album explores themes of self-examination and vulnerability. The singer sought to embrace his real identity, Kang Young-hyun, alongside his polished stage persona.

Young K collaborated with top producers including Lee Woo-min, GroovyRoom, Sunwoo Junga, Poptime, and Bumzu. He experimented with various new musical styles throughout the creative process.

The lead single “Shut the Door” is a bright synth-pop track. Young K wrote the song in 30 minutes following a personal betrayal. Other tracks like “F World” express feelings of frustration and emotional exhaustion.

For the first time, Young K oversaw production, design, and marketing directly. He took a hands-on role in shaping every aspect of the release.

Young K will launch his solo tour at Inspire Arena in Incheon from August 14 to 16. The tour will also make stops in Bangkok, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.
