British Museum Partners With BTS for Korea Gallery Art Trail

The British Museum launches a BTS art trail celebrating Korean heritage ahead of its major autumn exhibition. Read more once! The trail is located inside the museum’s Korea Foundation Gallery. Curator Sang-ah Kim selected five historical artefacts that connect directly to the group’s new album. The album takes inspiration from a traditional Korean folk song symbolising national identity.

The song, titled “No. 29″, features the sound of the bell of King Seongdeok. The famous bell was originally forged during the Silla era in South Korea.

This special collaboration serves as an early introduction to a much larger upcoming exhibition. The major showcase, simply titled “Korea”, will open at the London institution on October 1. It will run through January 31, 2027.

The exhibition will feature iconic sculptures, paintings, and decorative art pieces. These items span more than 2,000 years of rich Korean history and creative tradition.
